ABOUT US

We’re a robotics startup building an agnostic orchestration platform that allows companies to manage, monitor, and control multiple robots and robotic systems from a single interface. We’re also developing custom Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models that enable natural-language reasoning and autonomy across diverse robot types and industries. Our mission is to make robotics more accessible, intelligent, and scalable across sectors from hospitality and healthcare to defense and sports facility management. Think of it as an operating system for any robot, with an expanding library of intelligent capabilities. We are self-funded and currently building the v1 platform with our first pilot partners in the energy, hospitality and sports sectors.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Set the technical direction for whole-body control, manipulation and locomotion across all robot types on the platform. You own the policy-to-deployment bridge, safety architecture for a multi-robot fleet operating across sectors, and the sim-to-real process. Not publicly advertised; open to referral and silent sourcing.

TECH STACK

  • ROS 2
  • MuJoCo / Isaac
  • C++ / Python
  • MoveIt 2

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own technical direction for locomotion, whole-body control, dexterous manipulation and mobile navigation across multiple robot types
  • Define and own the sim-to-real process end to end: gap identification, measurement and systematic closure
  • Own the safety architecture for a multi-robot fleet operating in real-world environments — hospitality, healthcare, defence, energy and sports
  • Mentor and raise the bar for the robotics engineering team
  • Partner with AI on the training-deployment feedback loop for VLA-powered robot policies

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 8+ years robotics with at least one real-world deployment at meaningful scale — robots shipped, not just prototyped
  • Expert ROS 2 and real-time control; deep specialisation in legged locomotion, dexterous manipulation or mobile navigation
  • Proven experience leading a robotics team and setting technical direction under ambiguity
  • Strong dynamics, control theory and sim-to-real methodology background
  • Track record of full-cycle ownership: design, build, deploy, iterate on real hardware
Nice to have
  • Experience with humanoid or quadruped platforms (Unitree, Fourier, Agility Robotics)
  • RL for locomotion background (Isaac Lab / Legged Gym)

WHY JOIN US

  • This is a rare opportunity to help design and build the foundational technology for a robotics platform from the ground up
  • Competitive salary
  • Relocation support and housing assistance for Madeira-based roles; CINM free-zone benefits
  • Small, senior, hands-on team — everyone owns a meaningful slice of the product from day one
  • Own the robotics stack for an agnostic platform serving multiple robot types across multiple industries
