Junior Full-Stack Engineer

Junior Full-Stack Engineer

Santa Cruz, Madeira

ABOUT US

We’re a robotics startup building an agnostic orchestration platform that allows companies to manage, monitor, and control multiple robots and robotic systems from a single interface. We’re also developing custom Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models that enable natural-language reasoning and autonomy across diverse robot types and industries. Our mission is to make robotics more accessible, intelligent, and scalable across sectors from hospitality and healthcare to defense and sports facility management. Think of it as an operating system for any robot, with an expanding library of intelligent capabilities. We are self-funded and currently building the v1 platform with our first pilot partners in the energy, hospitality and sports sectors.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Junior Full-Stack Engineer to join the team building Ardia, our multi-tenant SaaS platform. You will work on real product features from day one — building UI components, backend endpoints and data pipelines — under the guidance of senior engineers. You will be working on a live platform connected to real robots in real environments.

TECH STACK

  • React / TypeScript
  • Supabase / PostgreSQL
  • Git / CI/CD
  • Docker

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build and maintain frontend features for the Ardia platform using React and TypeScript, from robot fleet dashboards to task assignment interfaces
  • Implement and test backend API endpoints using Supabase (PostgreSQL + Edge Functions)
  • Write clean, well-tested code following team standards and contributing to code reviews
  • Debug integration issues between the web platform and robot data streams
  • Collaborate daily with senior engineers, AI researchers and product to ship working software

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 1+ years of professional full-stack development experience or a strong portfolio of shipped projects
  • Solid fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript and React
  • Basic understanding of SQL databases and REST APIs
  • Ability to learn fast, ask good questions and work with a small, focused team
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows

Nice to have

  • Genuine curiosity about robotics, IoT, or hardware-connected software
  • Any experience with real-time data or WebSocket communication

WHY JOIN US

  • This is a rare opportunity to help design and build the foundational technology for a robotics platform from the ground up
  • Competitive salary
  • Relocation support and housing assistance for Madeira-based roles; CINM free-zone benefits
  • Small, senior, hands-on team — everyone owns a meaningful slice of the product from day one
  • Get hands-on experience building software connected to real robots — rare at junior level
