ABOUT US

We’re a robotics startup building an agnostic orchestration platform that allows companies to manage, monitor, and control multiple robots and robotic systems from a single interface. We’re also developing custom Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models that enable natural-language reasoning and autonomy across diverse robot types and industries. Our mission is to make robotics more accessible, intelligent, and scalable across sectors from hospitality and healthcare to defense and sports facility management. Think of it as an operating system for any robot, with an expanding library of intelligent capabilities. We are self-funded and currently building the v1 platform with our first pilot partners in the energy, hospitality and sports sectors.

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Principal Robotics Engineer to lead the architecture and development of SLAM, autonomous navigation, and manipulation systems for our G1 humanoid robot in hospitality and facility environments. You will drive LiDAR-based localization, motion planning, teleoperation, and Digital Twin development in NVIDIA Isaac Sim, while defining the technical roadmap for scalable humanoid autonomy across the Ardia platform.

TECH STACK

  • ROS 2 / SLAM
  • Isaac Sim
  • C++ / Python
  • Motion Capture

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the development of autonomous navigation and manipulation systems for humanoid robots operating in hotel and facility environments
  • Architect SLAM-based localization and mapping solutions using LiDAR sensors for reliable indoor navigation
  • Design and implement control systems for our G1 humanoid robot platform, including motion planning and teleoperation interfaces
  • Build Digital Twin pipelines that convert 3D scans of real environments into simulation-ready assets for Isaac Sim
  • Drive the integration of motion capture systems (Qualisys, Rokoko) for collecting high-quality demonstration data
  • Define the technical roadmap for robot capabilities across our Ardia product modules

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • PhD or Master’s in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Deep expertise in SLAM, localization, and autonomous navigation
  • Strong experience with ROS/ROS2 and robot middleware
  • Hands-on experience with humanoid robots, manipulators, or mobile platforms
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python for robotics software development
  • Experience with simulation environments (Isaac Sim, Gazebo, MuJoCo)
  • Experience leading technical teams and defining system architecture

Nice to have

  • Published research in robotics conferences (ICRA, IROS, RSS)
  • Experience with reinforcement learning or imitation learning for robot control

WHY JOIN US

  • This is a rare opportunity to help design and build the foundational technology for a robotics platform from the ground up
  • Competitive salary
  • Relocation support and housing assistance for Madeira-based roles; CINM free-zone benefits
  • Small, senior, hands-on team — everyone owns a meaningful slice of the product from day one
  • Shape the core technology of a next-generation robotics orchestration platform
