ABOUT US

We’re a robotics startup building an agnostic orchestration platform that allows companies to manage, monitor, and control multiple robots and robotic systems from a single interface. We’re also developing custom Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models that enable natural-language reasoning and autonomy across diverse robot types and industries. Our mission is to make robotics more accessible, intelligent, and scalable across sectors from hospitality and healthcare to defense and sports facility management. Think of it as an operating system for any robot, with an expanding library of intelligent capabilities. We are self-funded and currently building the v1 platform with our first pilot partners in the energy, hospitality and sports sectors.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Lead the Software and DevOps team — the platform engineering behind the orchestration stack. You are both the most senior engineer and the manager of the group, owning the architecture of the web and cloud orchestration platform that allows companies to manage, monitor and control multiple robots from a single interface.

TECH STACK

  • React / TypeScript
  • AWS / GCP
  • CI/CD
  • Python / FastAPI

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage, mentor and grow the Software and DevOps team — hiring, coaching and maintaining a high technical bar
  • Own the architecture of the web and cloud orchestration platform: scalability, reliability, observability and security
  • Set engineering standards, code review culture, CI/CD practices and release management
  • Own cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), observability stack and reliability engineering
  • Partner with AI, Robotics and Factory teams to deliver integrated platform capabilities end to end

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 8+ years software engineering with full-stack and cloud/DevOps depth
  • Experience managing or leading a software or DevOps team — not just senior IC experience
  • Expert in modern web stacks (React/TypeScript), cloud infrastructure and CI/CD
  • Strong on system design, reliability, observability and security
  • Proven ability to partner across technical disciplines and translate product needs into platform architecture
Nice to have
  • Experience integrating robotics or real-time systems with cloud platforms
  • MLOps or data engineering pipeline experience

WHY JOIN US

  • This is a rare opportunity to help design and build the foundational technology for a robotics platform from the ground up
  • Competitive salary, Ardia Academy access and a generous annual learning budget
  • Relocation support and housing assistance for Madeira-based roles; CINM free-zone benefits
  • Small, senior, hands-on team — everyone owns a meaningful slice of the product from day one
  • Technical leadership of the orchestration platform — the operating system for any robot
