ABOUT US

We’re a robotics startup building an agnostic orchestration platform that allows companies to manage, monitor, and control multiple robots and robotic systems from a single interface. We’re also developing custom Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models that enable natural-language reasoning and autonomy across diverse robot types and industries. Our mission is to make robotics more accessible, intelligent, and scalable across sectors from hospitality and healthcare to defense and sports facility management. Think of it as an operating system for any robot, with an expanding library of intelligent capabilities. We are self-funded and currently building the v1 platform with our first pilot partners in the energy, hospitality and sports sectors.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Stand up the Ardia Madeira Factory assembly lines from scratch. As one of the first factory hires you define how robots are built — writing SOPs, designing fixtures, balancing stations to takt and running process FMEAs, starting with the quadruped line.

TECH STACK

  • SolidWorks
  • FMEA / PFMEA
  • ESD / IPC-A-620
  • Lean Tools

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Write and validate manufacturing SOPs for every assembly station — starting with quadruped, then mobile upper-body, then humanoid
  • Design and procure assembly jigs and tooling: height-adjustable, ESD-safe, ergonomic; validate before line launch
  • Balance station load against the 10-hour unit takt; flag and resolve bottlenecks before they become throughput problems
  • Lead process FMEAs at each launch gate, track action closure and feed learnings into future line designs
  • Work with QC and calibration to drive first-pass yield improvements across all three lines

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 4+ years manufacturing or process engineering in electromechanical assembly
  • Practical experience writing SOPs and designing fixtures — not just reviewing them
  • Hands-on line balancing against a defined takt and process FMEA ownership with real closure tracking
  • ESD-safe assembly discipline and IPC-A-620 wiring harness standards awareness
  • Willing and enthusiastic to be floor-present in Caniçal
Nice to have
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above)
  • Robotics-specific assembly experience

WHY JOIN US

  • This is a rare opportunity to help design and build the foundational technology for a robotics platform from the ground up
  • Competitive salary
  • Relocation support and housing assistance for Madeira-based roles; CINM free-zone benefits
  • Small, senior, hands-on team — everyone owns a meaningful slice of the product from day one
